There is a perpetual flame smoldering beneath the soul of LaSyndria “Adam's Eve” Gnagbe, which erupts with volcanic intensity each time she steps in the room.
The Houston born daughter, poet, actress, nurse and educator never doubted her purpose to motivate, inspire and transform people’s lives. Anchored by the love and encouragement of doting parents and a deep understanding of God’s intentions for her future, LaSyndria embarked on her dynamic journey early on. The path was not easy. A high school, then college graduate, nursing school became her next challenge.
LaSyndria endured a series of missteps, traumatic experiences and disappointments that nearly destroyed her resolve. Instead she became stronger, savvier and less fearful of the unknown. Armed with renewed faith, a mind full of words, heart bursting with experiences and a soul overflowing with hard-earned wisdom she now shares her gifts with the world through her teaching, poetry and her theatrical performances.
Having studied the intricacies of poetry, LaSyndria (known in the industry as “Adam’s Eve”) is a master of timing, content, imaginative themes and precise rhythmic balance. Her pieces are a vivid mixture of haunting, introspective ideas and thought-provoking verses. Determined never to be a cliché, each of her poems tells a story so deeply personal, creative and relatable, audiences form an instant bond with the talented performer.
Adam’s Eve’s presence on and off stage is emblematic of quiet defiance wrapped in principled deference for learning and impacting lives. The mother of one, dedicated wife and anti-violence advocate spends her free time writing, singing, dancing and painting. She is also an active member of the Island of Hope C.O.G.I.C. and the North Harris County Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated. She is a graduate of Texas Southern University, a member of Sigma Pi Alpha, the Thomas Franklin Freeman Debate Team Honor Society, and current graduate student of Texas A&M University’s Master of Education Administration program with Principalship and Bilingual/ESL Certification.
No barrier too great. No obstacle too profound. LaSyndria “Adam’s Eve” Gnagbe aims to leave her mark on this world.
